"If you give a man a fish, you give him a meal; if you teach him to fish, you give him a livelihood."

The proportion of working females to the total female population is growing. A working female in the house would mean higher disposable income for the entire household. This translate into higher consumption expenditure, especially on discretionary items, including clothing and apparel and that, too, not only for herself, but also for other family members.

With a view to provide employment to the female workers, it was decided to train female workers, a training centre was established.
